I'll use about 5 ounces of wool in Granite and Eggplant to knit this pair.
My slipper socks were a hit from the very first pair I knitted for my niece and all the nearly countless, colorful pairs that followed. The pure wool is ideal to keep your feet toasty warm and dry. The felting process makes the socks very thick and durable.
You may wash the felts using your machine's wool cycle, or hand wash with little agitation, and lay flat to dry.
The slipper socks will conform to the shape of your feet and are likely to stand upright after a few wears, waiting to be put on again. I keep several pairs in my foyer, ready for guests to wear. A colorful, cozy, and warm hint to take off those outdoor shoes upon entering!
