Inspired by the Barn Owl. I've created layers of washes and detailed lines to emphasize the patterns and textures of these great birds. Mostly using ochre and rust tones while adding touches of pink and navy blues throughout. I enjoy working with birds as a subject because of the endless possibilities I can come up with for their coats!
All paintings are shipped USPS first class mail in an archival protective sleeve with sturdy backing board or envelope for extra support.
This painting was done in watercolor on a 200 lb cold press paper. It measures 8" X 10" . Signed on the front.
