This is a heavy men's ring weighing almost 22.55dwt (or 35g) of 22K gold and platinum mokume-gane. Smaller versions with other stones and custom designs are also available.
Mokume-Gane is a Japanese metal technique of combining precious metals in patterns based on the designs and process of making samurai swords. The patterns created often resemble the patterns found in natural wood. Mokume-gane means wood grain metal in Japanese.
Ted Hendrickson hand created both the ring and the mokume-gane. All works by Ted are hand-fabricated from ecologically refined precious metal. Ted has been creating jewelry for over 30 years. Each piece like a fingerprint, has a distinct pattern, making every piece as unique as the person who wears and cherishes it.
