Nothing beats an Original! This monkey is reminiscent of the monkeys our grandmas used to make - funky and so fun. He's just looking for a cozy bed to call home... I made this lil primate from the vintage pattern that has been around since the 1930s. One of the best-looking monkeys around...

Junior is 12 inches tall, compared to a classic sock monkey, which is about 20 inches tall. Actual monkey may vary slightly, since they are handmade in multiple quantities.

Embroidered eyes make this monkey safe for younger kids...

"The iconic sock monkeys made from red-heeled socks emerged at the earliest in 1932, the year the Nelson Knitting Company added the trademarked red heel to its product... This red heel gave the monkeys their distinctive mouth. During the Great Depression, American mothers first made sock monkeys out of worn-out Rockford Red Heel Socks." - Wikipedia
