When I saw the lace in this dress, I thought of butterfly nets. It made me wish for those clear almost-summer skies that happen in late May. So, I matched it with a storm gray cotton jersey and black crinkled silk chiffon to create a scrumptiously gauzy dress. It tries to be practical, though can’t help but float just a little. The plunging neckline and halter back reveals without being revealing, and manages to be strategically sexy, tasteful, and unassuming. It would look amazing with a pair of chunky high heels, or would be equally at home paired with boots, a notebook, a grassy field, and a sunny day.
