Your child is growing up quickly and so is their free-spirited imagination. Today's refrigerator work of art won't be there next year. You can capture today's creativity and joy and keep it everlasting with a custom stitched replica of your babies' drawings.
Portraits are hand stitched and customized for each drawing. The coloring options are as follows:
1. Thread colors can reflect the colors used on the original drawing. Slight color variations between the threat and the color on the paper will be normal. Given the vast color options of embroidery thread, the closest hue will be selected when matching the original.
2. A monochromatic approach to the color choice gives the finished embroidery a minimalistic edge and is easily incorporated in to an existing decor's color palette.
3. If you like to be surprised, I can handle the color selection.
The most efficient way to send an image of a drawing is to scan and email a file of the original. Please send scans to travisina AT gmail dot com. If scanning the image isn't an option, I'm happy to discuss alternate ways to send the images.
The list price is the base price. When I receive the image and color selections are made, I will be able to give an estimate for completion and a final price quote. Time of completion and price is dependent on size and intricacies of each image. Projects are completed in the order in which they are commissioned.
Images will be shipped pressed, with a margin of fabric around the image ready for you to frame in the display of your choice.
For a flat fee of $12.00, I will place the completed piece in a wooden embroidery hoop, add an eco felt backing, and tack the excess fabric as I do with hooped embroidery.
Some level of color variation is standard and acceptable when digitally transferring color images.
Please convo me if you are interested in having the stitching done on a specific fabric you may already have. I'm open to discussing all levels of customization - don't be shy.
