This slip came out of the bath with a lot of great detail and would make a lovely party or cocktail dress. It has a sexy empire waisted shape, accented by a wide band of scalloped floral lace lined with a layer of sheer organza. The bust is double layered, with a loose fitting layer of sheer organza accenting the low cut crossover v-neck; the skirt is lightly pleated at the waist seams on the front and back for a little extra volume and has a band of sheer organza trimming the circumference of the hem.
Part of the fun of dyeing anything is the surprise of how things turn out. (Like snowflakes - or people - no two are ever exactly alike.) This came out of the bath a dusty green based shade of gray.
It's not a true solid, meaning it has a number of darker and lighter spots sprinkled about, which is just the nature of the process.

100% nylon (exclusive of trim)
Machine wash cold w/ mild detergent, delicate cycle; tumble dry low.
bust: 34"
length: 41"

This is marked a size 36. In terms of this type of lingerie I usually base fit on a woman's bra size. I wear a size 36 bra and, sadly, this is a bit snug on me; I'd say it's best for a 34" bust. Slips like these are somewhat forgiving though and can still look fabulous worn a little loose or a little tight - it really depends on how you plan to style and wear it.

There are two teeny pinholes on the back, at the top near the bottom of the v.
Otherwise in great vintage condition. This will arrive washed and ready to wear.
(PS: In case you're wondering about any "side effects" from wearing a hand-dyed slip around the house, or anywhere else - the pieces go through two fairly rigorous washings during the process which helps set the dye. To date I have never had any problems with bleeding or color transfer and I have two chairs covered in white fabric in my living room.)
