This particular mala holds clarifying Pluto energy and feels very determined; it is very uplifting and would be a good tool for someone experiencing a transformational Pluto transit, practicing healing work, or developing one of the other positive aspects of Pluto.
After I spent some time with it I feel it is an especially good match for someone born with Pluto in Virgo (October 1956 - October 1971, April-July 1972) or a person with significant Virgo or sixth house placements. It was created during a strong Pluto event and should be handled with respect. The moon was in Virgo at the time this mala was created.
This wrist-sized mala is made of transparent smoky quartz beads. The guru bead is very pale green carved jade. The bone-colored tassel is 100% cotton, and tied by hand.

Smoky quartz is a soothing stone that is good for stress relief and removing negativity. It is especially beneficial for Gemini, Capricorn, and people with stressful lunar aspects. Smoky quartz is said to help develop patience and stamina, and in accessing subconscious knowledge.
Jade is a smooth green stone that enhances love, fidelity, and happiness. It is excellent for working with the heart chakra and for connecting with earth energies. Jade is particularly beneficial for Taurus and balances Virgo. It is also said to help attract abundance.
::
Malas are traditionally used in Buddhism and other eastern traditions to count mantra recitations. The customary full mala size is 108 beads; my wrist malas like this are made of 27 beads, or 1/4 of a full strand. They are strung on a double strand of durable colorless elastic that stretches nicely, so you can wear it with comfort.
