This piece is part of my collaboration with ceramic artist Mitsy, aka ArtMind ( artmind.etsy.com ) Mitsy creates all of the porcelain objects in her studio in Belgium, the hands are made by slipcasting them in a handmade plaster mould, then they are bisque fired and after sanding them smooth, they are fired again at high temperature for increased durability. While the high firing does strengthen the porcelain, the piece should still be handled with care as you would any porcelain object.
The closure is also hand made and is fully adjustable. The necklace can be worn at it's longest, approximately 78cm (30") or the thread can be pulled through the closure to shorten the length as much as desired.
The hand measures 2.9cm long and 1cm at the widest point (1.14"x0.39")
The necklace will come packed in a small gift box.
