Black Rosary Necklace
This rosary style necklace was inspired by my love of making rosaries. Indeed, the very form of it is taken from the form of the rosary. I enjoy the contrast of the large and small beads, using handmade links instead of wire for construction. Also, the rosary easily lends itself to the "Y" necklace style which is so popular these days.
This necklace is comprised of 7mm vintage, black, faceted glass beads with silver plated bead caps. Accenting these black beads are 9mm handmade lampwork beads with intricate pink and white flowers and green leaves on a black background. The floral motive is encased in clear crystal. Each of these beads has two Tibetan Silver bead caps for extra interest and sparkle. Because they are handmade, all of the lampwork beads are slightly different from each other. This adds to the charm and beauty of the necklace. The focal point of this necklace is an antiqued sterling silver miraculous medal and an antiqued sterling silver crucifix. This necklace would make a wonderful gift or would be perfect to keep for yourself. :)
