Vintage 1940s Photograph Back To School Schulmaedchen

This vintage 40s (or possibly late 1930s) photograph show a young girl getting ready for her first day of school. She has a large bow in her hair and a Schultuete, a paper horn filled with toys and candy which children still get on their first school day in Germany. On the bottom of the photograph is the script "Erinnerung an meinen ersten Gang zur Schule" (In memory of my first day of school). The back of the photograph is printed in such a way that the photograph could have been sent as a postcard. In excellent vintage condition.

Size of photograph: 14 by 9 cm/5.5 by 3.5 inches
