Condition: Very good. Structurally both pieces are doing really well and are in wearable condition. On close inspection, I noticed some age- or storage-related lightening along the top shoulder lines and collar of the jacket; Brass of buttons has darkened circles around button holes but this is completely invisible when jacket is fastened. As well, upon close inspection, I noticed some small stains/dark spots on the panels of the front and back of the skirt (two of them, near left front of skirt look like water marks/spots. The others look more like dark smudges). Difficult to detect unless velvet examined closely, especially tricky to spot when gored skirt is in motion. Some inevitable scuffs/scratches to velvet here and there (esp. upper back of jacket). Slight sign of strain on a couple of seams. These points are not readily visible unless fabric is examined very closely (especially when pieces are worn). Still, price reflects consideration of these points. All in all, this is a rare and beautiful set! If you have any questions or if you would like more photos, please convo me before purchasing!
