It started with a collection of wire-wrapped charms, chosen as tokens of love. This was over two years ago and for the first version, these were crocheted into a black leather cuff...but it just didn't work for me, so I put it aside. Last year, I tried stringing the charms along my knotted leather bracelet construction, as many of my bracelets here have been assembled. Nope, still didn't work. Finally, this year I found these wonderful new materials: big red pearls, red pressed glass roses, and old Bali silver in many different shapes.
Voila, it is the beauty I had in my head at the beginning....and I'm delighted to say it's finally ready for prime time 2011! If you'd like to see the illustrated version of this story, check here http://willoaksstudio.blogspot.com/2011/01/happy-birthday-blog-story-of-bracelet.html
A lovely heavy sterling heart shaped toggle closes the 8 1/2" long double stranded construction and this will comfortably fit wrists from 6" to about 7 1/2". Since it is made to order, some adjustments to the length are possible--please contact me with your needs, which might also include coordinated earrings.
Packaged in a decorative gift box, ready to give or to keep. This would be the ultimate Valentine's Day gift for the woman who enjoys bracelets in your life! A true statement of joyous, enduring love (a bead engraved "Joy" is incorporated right in the chain!)
