The little Golden Puffed Celluloid Sequins delicately hanging on the gold tone hoops are genuine antiques from France. I was beyond excited when I finally found them Originally made as sequins, these are beautiful and truly a rare find! Made in France around the 1900's and in pristine condition. They measure 6mm in width and look like little donuts. They are very light and the wearer must be careful when handling them. They are so light they can blow away.
Celluloid was the first thermoplastic. First made in the 1860’s. Today it is used in ping pong balls and guitar picks.
These earrings may have antique components, but they are quietly blingy and modern.
