Many summers of my youth, my brothers and I would see who could stay in these chilly, rust-colored waters the longest before needing to rush back to the rocky shores for warmth. For many of us 'Sotans, seeing Lake Superior was the closest thing we had to seeing the ocean. It is a grand and awesome body of water with spooky depths, a rich geological history, and monster-sized, prehistoric-looking sturgeon.
This is an original, layered papercut piece, handmade in Minnesota, in a set of soft Teal blues, and featuring the world's largest freshwater lake and some of its major islands.
This unique piece is intricately cut from five layers of high quality, acid-free cardstock. The top layer is a bright white, while the layers underneath are in ever-darker shades of color. The back is titled, signed and dated as an original piece.
The work measures 8 x 10 inches (about 20 x 25 cm), and is about 1/8" thick. It will be sent to you carefully wrapped and supported to ensure it arrives safely.
