There are two deep front pockets and a back zipper pocket for quick access to keys, lip balm, cell phone, metro card, etc etc. The top aztec pattern is made from a soft fleece material. This leather is gorgeous, thick, and durable... Sooo lovely!

The process of making each bag first starts with sourcing the materials. I visit several different places on a weekly basis to find the right jackets and other materials used to create each bag. Then, the vintage leather jackets are cut apart and pieced together in such a way to salvage great original details in to new Hoakon/Helga bag designs.
I try to use as many upcycled components as I can in each bag, including the linings, and any exterior fabrics used. Every bag is One-of-a-kind because of the vintage materials used. You may see small imperfections and wearing caused from the original jacket. This is part of the charm of the designs and adds to the fact that your bag has a history previous to you owning it! It's a great way to help to support sustainable approaches.

All purchases are sent out within 4 days of order.
All shipping is done through Canada Post with a standard delivery. This means that it will take approximately 6 -18 business days within North America (depending on where you are from) but can sometimes take longer getting stuck in customs. I tend to get lots of emails saying that the parcel is taking longer than the 12 days... so expect it to take an extra week or two. All bag purchases to Canada and the USA are sent with a tracking number which can be tracked through canadapost.ca. Parcels sent to anywhere else do not have a tracking number can take 4-6 weeks to arrive. Hoakon/Helga is not responsible for any lost or damaged items in the mail.
