Pincushion Cat Ruby is a completely functional pincushion for sewers or can be used as a cool decorative piece. The majority of this pincushion was hand sewn. Ruby, like all my other creations, is handcrafted and made from my own patterns.

This item consists of 1 cat pincushion and 15 assorted pins. The 3 extra pins shown in certain pictures are not included.

The cat pincushion is made of tan and a purple/blue/pink tie-dyed felt print. (Tan for the head and tail and the tie-dyed for the body.) Her face consists of 2 blue ballpoint pins for the eyes, 1 black ballpoint pin for the nose and 12 straight pins that make up the mouth and whiskers (6 for whiskers and 6 for the mouth). Her paws are made from tan pom poms. She has has a matching tie-dyed headband with a blue flower attached. She has a blue ruffled lace skirt and a peace sign necklace. She is firmly stuffed with 100% polyester fiberfill. I also made a sand pouch from cotton fabric and sewed that inside the pincushion which gives her more stability. The sand is wrapped first in a plastic bag (just to make sure no sand will ever escape) and then it goes into the cotton fabric pouch.

She stands approximately 5 inches (12.75 cms) tall and measures approximately 10.75 inches (27.25 cms) around the belly.
