I made it from Irish linen, and added an applique silk cat. The flowers, pink heart, whiskers, the word 'purrr' and chain stitch border, are all hand embroidered.
The backing is made from a red leather off-cut and there's a silver coloured fastening pin, to keep it securely attached! It's made up of several layers, which means it's sturdy , but still lightweight.
