The quartz crystals I use for this necklace are nature's own creation so all will display their very own inclusions and natural shape but will be very similar to the one pictured.
Bullet and Crystal Pendant measures 1-1/2 inch long and 3/8" in diameter and attaches to a 26" antiqued brass curb chain with twisted bronze wire and sterling silver spacers. Long enough to just pop over your head, this necklace has no clasp but a lobster clasp can be added if you prefer. this is a great layering piece or just to wear on its own!

Each bullet casing is tumbled for several hours to restore a new-like shine then etched, a patina is applied to enhance the details and then the casing is tumbled again ensuring that no gunpowder residue remains.
The etched bullet casings on my jewelry are protected with a coating of Renaissance wax. With use, the wax will eventually wear off but you can restore the shine with a small amount of brass cleaner and then maintain with a thin coat of car wax.
Some bullet casing jewelry is sometimes coated with a lacquer but I have never seen this be successful over a period of time and it always seems to flake off leaving an uneven finish. As with all brass jewelry, do not wear when in the shower or swimming.
If you like the warm brown tones of aged brass, do nothing - it all depends on what finish you like best!

All of the bullet casings I use have been collected from a professional firing range. I have been told that my etched bullet jewelry is airport friendly - the 'dimple' in the primer clearly showing that the bullet has been previously fired and that no gunpowder remains.
