This 40 page art journal is upcycled from a 1963 children's book, A Very, Very Special Day. It's perfect for a words-and-illustrative journal or scrapbook project. I've gesso-ed the pages to make it possible to write everywhere (but in places, allowing the original ILLUSTRATIONS to show through) and pasted in envelopes for your souvenirs. I've added a few found photos and postcards along the way, but there's plenty of space to add your own postcards and such.
The book is 48 years old, so the cover's a bit beat up--in keeping with the aesthetic of the project--and the spine's delicate, though the pages seem securely bound. I doubt this journal will fall apart anytime soon, but don't toss the thing around, ok?
It measures 7.5 x 10 inches.
