I've included a before picture, so you can see my thought process and the dramatic transformation. The bench is 4.5' wide, seriously durable and solid, all strips of fire hose were tightly riveted into place. The frame is painted off-white to match the linen. The linen states that it should stay dry (except in the case of a fire), so this piece should be used in doors.
Antique fire hoses are rare and hard to find. New fire hoses are made of polyester and have a shiny appearance. That's what makes this piece especially unique.
