i've always been facinated with using traditional materials and processes in unconventional and unexpected ways. having been a knitter for most of my life, i've always wanted to use the process in my jewelry however the particular aesthetic of knit yarn or ribbon jewelry was never one i was very excited about. as FORT began to grow (thank you Brooklyn Flea!) and i began to buy chain for my jewelry in spools rather than by the yard, the idea of knitting and crocheting chain was one that i had toyed with for years but could finally act on.
inspired by the delicate structure of spiderwebs, this necklace is made from crocheted vintage chain. it measures 18" with a 4" long cluster on center.
thanks for taking a peek and feel free to message me with any questions!
