The story of this comic is set in ancient Rome as Caesar never imagined it: a Rome full of neon and night clubs in which Romans mingle freely and comfortably with real and imaginary persons of the present. Jodelle is a cool girl-spy working Emperor Augustus, whose indolence is matched only by his utter decadence. Hatching a nefarious plot against Augustus is the Proconsuless, and upon this obvious and often-abused plot the author and artist have constructed a wild fantasy which borrows freely and unashamedly from history, science fiction, the cinema, psychedelic art, and the comic strip itself.
