Love Dove is made of stuffed quilter's muslin that has been painted and sanded, then painted and sanded again, giving the fabric a rich patina that feels like old leather. All her pretty little details are entirely painted (not drawn with pens or pencils) using acrylic paint and teeny tiny paintbrushes. Her wings are button-jointed, allowing them to be posed. She's attached to a hardwood dowel that is anchored into a wooden stand. Her tail is made of sparkley chenille stems embellished with beads and bits of painted fabric.
Like each of our pieces, this one is entirely made by our own hands.
Individually sewn, stuffed, and painted, we will make up to 9 of this design.
Each piece is signed, numbered, and dated by us, Dylan and Jo.
The exact piece pictured has been sold, but we've already begun work on the next one in the series. It will look very much like the one pictured, but please allow for subtle differences since they are all hand painted. Once payment is received, it'll take us about a week to finish it for you.
