The “Prufrock's Love Song” print is an excerpt from T.S. Eliot’s “The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock” which contains one of my favorite lines of poetry: “Do I dare/Disturb the universe?/In a minute there is time/For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse.”
I created the "Prufrock's Love Song" print one-by-one on an antique Vandercook printing press using the process founded by Gutenberg in 1440. Each print is a labor of love beginning with a graphic design made into a photopolymer plate, which I use to press the image onto Reich’s 100% cotton (tree-friendly) Savoy paper utilizing hand-mixed plant-based ink, plenty of elbow grease and lots of love. This limited edition print bears a deep impression that you can see and feel.
The dimensions are 8.5 x 11, with the image measuring 3.5 x 8. Please convo me if you’d like your print cut down.
Due to the nature of the hand printing process, each print is unique in ink coverage, orientation and impression. Each print is truly an original, as color may vary slightly print to print, and from the image. Please convo me if you have any questions!
Your print is either sealed in an acid-free clear sleeve within a durable photo mailer (most customers), or rolled into a mailing tube based on your location (urban and international customers) and shipped via USPS first class so that it leaves my hands and arrives in yours safe and sound. Please note that matting/framing is not included.
