They make wonderful gifts. But also, the process of cutting them out will be a positive and relaxing experience. I hope that these patterns inspire you to start (or continue) an exciting journey into the world of papercutting.
You won't need to transfer the patterns on another surface or anything like that because they're already printed on the exact same archival quality paper that I use for my own work. This is a beautiful acid-free cotton paper, the color is ivory and the weight is 32 grams.
You will only need to cut out the pink printed areas in the design and the magic will happen before your eyes. Materials needed:
* A number 11 X-Acto knife (or the knife of your preference).
* A self-healing cutting mat.
* And some scissors.
Step one: Place the pattern on the cutting mat.
Step two: Using the X-Acto knife, cut out the pink areas inside the design first. This is a relaxing activity; very enjoyable if you take your time. No rush here.
And step three: Carefully cut the silhouette around the heart with your scissors. No rush here as well, just go little by little.
Once finished, each piece measures about 5" x 4" ...... (about 12.5 x 10.5 cm)
You can frame them individually in 7"x5" frames available everywhere.
They also look beautiful framed as a group.
