Made in the USA, these wonderful bowls are great collector’s items! They are a matching set of 3 stoneware or ceramic bowls, with “Gourmet Mickey” Mouse on the fronts; the product is a licensed Disney product, with the Disney copyright mark on them. The bottoms have the “Crafted with Pride in USA” emblem & copyright mark by Treasure Craft, who I assume is the manufacturer.
The 1 1/4”- 1 1/2” band on the tops of the bowls are a very cute blue plaid design, with little red lines running through. The colors and details of the graphics are amazing; Mickey Mouse looks so cute with the mixing bowl in his hands! The entire bowl surface is glazed except the little ring at the bottom where they sit on the table; I guess so they don’t slide around so easily since they’re mixing bowls.
The largest bowl holds 4 quarts, measures 10 1/4” across at the top, 5” wide at the bottom, and is 5 1/4” tall.
The medium bowl measures 8 1/4” across at the top, 3 1/2” wide at the bottom, and is 4 1/4” tall.
The smallest bowl of the 3 holds exactly 1 quart and measures 6” across at the top, 3” wide at the bottom, and is 3 1/2” tall.
CONDITION & PRICING:
All 3 bowls are in exceptional condition without any chips or cracks; they look like they just came out of the box (note: there is no box with the set). There is absolutely no wear to the inside or outside of any of the bowls, and the graphics surrounding the bowls look like they just came out of the factory. The set looks brand new but obviously has been retired for a long time for none to be available ANYWHERE, so I’m guessing it has to be vintage piece.
The only similar Disney 3-piece ceramic mixing bowl sets on Ebay, Amazon, and elsewhere on the web are made in China and selling for between $43-$49; I searched for several hours & could not find another Gourmet Mickey 3-piece bowl set. The only other Gourmet Mickey items I could find were a few teapots, for $48 through Ebay, Amazon & a couple of other places; “This colorful Disney tea pot is made of painted stainless steel and features Mickey Mouse icon silhouettes”; a sugar & creamer set for $25, and some various small items such as towels, napkin holders, salt & pepper shakers, etc. for $15-$20, and a cookie jar for $32.
I’m not an expert on collectibles & china, I’m just cleaning out my cabinets & someone passed this on to us from someone else, so I have no idea where it was originally purchased or what year it was made. To someone in the know, this may be absolutely a steal since it is a rare set and obviously hard to find.
From my searching, I know this would sell for at least $50-$70 on Ebay, but I chose to not list this on there because I love my Etsy community & am giving the shoppers on here a chance to buy this unique find & give it a home where this adorable Mickey set will make someone happy! If you absolutely love this & really want it, convo me with a reasonable offer, and I’ll try to work something out with you.
SHIPPING:
This set is very heavy, the weight of the bowls is about 9 lbs, plus packaging, so the shipping cost is non-negotiable. I will carefully package it in cushioning materials, and the shipping cost includes the shipping insurance, which I will get when I ship this off to you.
Because it is so heavy, I have the shipping option set at Parcel Post.
I am trying to do some spring cleaning & sell what I have on hand to make room for more new creations!
