Elie Tahari was born in 1952 in Jerusalem. He immigrated to the United States in 1971 as an electrician and moved to New York where he sought work in Manhattan's Garment District. His beginnings were quite meager and he worked his way up! He began designing women's fashion inspired by the New York City nightclub scene.
Throughout the 1970s, Tahari remained focused on women's fashions, and his designs were well received. He was one of the first fashion designers to open a boutique on Madison Avenue, in 1974.
♥♥ In the 1980s, Tahari turned his focus to the tailored suit.
The fashion designer's website is still active and the clothes continue to carry this classic, tailored dress styles. The sleek silhouette to totally flattering to wear on any occasion.

The dress was dry cleaned after being acquired and is in excellent condition. Please just tack down the label so it doesn't get lost. This is one luxury designer fashion garment that will only go up in value!
