This slip has a slim sexy shape, thin adjustable straps, thin bands of scalloped trim accenting the back & hem and a wide band of sheer organza at the bust with dainty floral embroidery.
Part of the fun of dyeing anything is the surprise of how things turn out. (Like snowflakes - or people - no two are ever exactly alike.) In yet another example of an effect I couldn't have achieved if I'd tried, the body dyed up a warm berry toned shade while the organza trim at the bust remained white and the floral embroidery took on a deeper, darker more purplish shade.
It's not a true solid, meaning it has a number of darker and lighter spots sprinkled about, which is just the nature of the process.

Made by Sears
100% nylon (exclusive of trim)
Machine wash cold w/ mild detergent, delicate cycle; tumble dry low.
bust: 34"
length: 39"
[Measurements are taken flat, then doubled - except for the length; for best fit, compare the measurements to a similar piece in your closet.]
This is marked a size 36. In terms of this type of lingerie I usually base fit on a woman's bra size. I wear a size 36 bra and this is snug on me; I'd say it's best for a 34" bust. Slips like these are somewhat forgiving though and can still look fabulous worn a little loose or a little tight - it really depends on how you plan to style and wear it.

In great vintage condition. This will arrive washed and ready to wear.
(PS: In case you're wondering about any "side effects" from wearing a hand-dyed slip around the house, or anywhere else - the pieces go through two fairly rigorous washings during the process which helps set the dye. To date I have never had any problems with bleeding or color transfer and I have two chairs covered in white fabric in my living room.)
