Every OAK piece is collected and assembled from my curated collection of objects. This vintage multi strand necklace uses a vintage brooch originally made to mimic carved coral flowers with rhinestone details and gold tone twining vines.
I've used new and vintage chain, in a gold tone and faux pearl triple strand design.
The floral detail on the side is actually the clasp! It is a vintage gold plated spring clasp from the 1940's - see close up photo to see how it works. I've altered the clasp to be a single strand loop to go around the neck; the other two loops have been nipped off and filed smooth.
You may have seen me working on this necklace for a segment on the Vancouver Shaw TV show - "The Express".
Entire necklace hangs about 23" at its longest point.
