This sculptural heart is a 3-dimensional hollow form; constructed -- raised, soldered and surface finished -- in sterling silver and oxidized; then beaded with pretty ruby, garnet and rhodolite garnet beads in beautiful, warm pink tones.
The pendant is voluptuous and smooth to the touch.
This one-of-a-kind pendant measures 22 mm high X 28 mm wide X 17 mm deep.
Glides on an oxidized sterling silver Venetian box chain, 20 -- 22 inches long.

A note about the oxidized (blackened) surface finish:
Oxidized patinas change over time, with wear in the high areas that touch the skin or clothing. I am often told by my customers that this gradual process makes the piece even more beautiful and personal. However, I do apply a thin, protective coat of oil or wax to the metal, in order to help preserve the oxidation and to deepen the color.
I am happy to make this necklace with a shorter or longer chain, and with a custom selection of gemstone beads.

As every piece is hand made, measurements vary slightly from pendant to pendant. You will receive a pendant very similar to, or possibly somewhat larger (never smaller) than the pendant described in this listing.
