A vintage linen embroidered billfold done in the hardanger style. The billfold has two parts: a stiff but flexible interior with side pockets, lined with ivory taffeta and an embroidered linen sheath. The hardanger embroidery - also called whitework embroidery - is done with thread to match the pale fabric. The delicate, geometric work is striking. Excellent condition.
