Wuthering Heights is the only published novel by Emily Brontë, written between December 1845 and July 1846 and published in July of the following year. It was not printed until December 1847, after the success of her sister Charlotte Brontë's novel Jane Eyre. It was finally printed under the pseudonym Ellis Bell; a posthumous second edition was edited by Charlotte.
The title of the novel comes from the Yorkshire manor on the moors of the story. The narrative centres on the all-encompassing, passionate, but ultimately doomed love between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, and how this unresolved passion eventually destroys them and the people around them.
Today considered a classic of English literature, Wuthering Heights was met with mixed reviews when it first appeared, mainly because of the narrative's stark depiction of mental and physical cruelty. Although Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre was generally considered the best of the Brontë sisters' works during most of the nineteenth century, many subsequent critics of Wuthering Heights argued that it was a superior achievement.

Featuring a Handcrafted Antique Bronze plated Framed Charm of An actual piece of Wuthering Heights text. These are taken from a damaged copy of the book & contains the word 'HEATHCLIFF'. This is covered with acrylic for durability & protection.
Suspended from this is a length of Bronze plated curb chain (approx 30mm long), on which hangs an Antique Bronze plated Skeleton Key Pendant (approx 62mm in length). Please note that these are not 'perfectly straight' but I think this adds only to their charm.
This in turn holds a vintage brass heart-shaped locket - stamped with the word 'Love' (perhaps used by Cathy to hold a picture of her love, Heathcliff:) hanging from a bronze plated bow charm (this will vary slightly from the bow shown but is actually superior in quality).
Because these lockets ARE vintage they do have markings / blemishes but again these only add to charm of the piece & certainly do not detract in any way.
These romantic whimsies all hang from a long (over 96cm long!) Bronze Plated Curb Chain & fastens with a b/p lobster clasp. There is also a tiny bronze key charm at the clasp to finish:).
This may be shortened on request & also may be clasped along the length of the chain to change the look of the necklace as you choose. It may even be wrapped round twice!
This lovely item will come to you ready to give (even if is to yourself) in a lidded gift box. Gift Box shown may differ slightly but will be of similar design & quality :)
