As seen on the Martha Stewart Show 2/18/2011!!!!

Very rare mid 19th c. cathedral, walnut terrarium with fine dove tail construction and zinc-lined base. BEAUTIFUL!
19th c. terrariums are hard to find and those made of walnut are even more difficult since they often got broken and were thrown away. The metal ones tended to survive since the frame would stand more abuse.
This one has most of its original glass save for two panes that appear to have been replaced. The rest of the terrarium is in excellent condition, no broken pieces.
I have been using the terrarium for my succulents and they have been doing amazingly well under its care. Imagine filling it with exotic orchids that thrive in such climates!
Terrarium measures: 21” high to the tallest peak, 17” across the side and 11” deep.
This may seem like a high price but these terrariums go for so much more at antique garden shows and sites like 1stdibs. $2,000 to $3,000.
You are welcome to do some research.
This terrarium will be carefully reinforced and packed securely within a wood crate or box by UPS and insured against damage.
