Who's Walter Johnson?
The Big Train, as Johnson was commonly referred to, was a pitcher for the Washington Senators during the early 1900's. One of the game's most dominant players, Johnson's name shows up near the top of the record list in every pitching category. Johnson still holds the record for most shutouts nearly a century after he stopped playing. Johnson was a two time MVP and a World Champion with the Senators.
This multi-color design was inspired by vintage tobacco cards of the late 1800s and early 1900s. This design features Johnson in the foreground in his Washington Senators uniform set against a green and yellow background. The "card" has a very vintage and distressed look. Whether we're talking goals or talking sports, Johnson's words hold true: You can't hit what you can't see.
