Felted Wool Tea Cosy - stylized roses

Keep your tea warm with this handmade felted wool cosy. The exterior is appliqued in a modern interpretation of the penny rug style featuring a my signature stylized roses and vines. The exterior is based on a very dark gray felted wool with blossoms in shades of red, rose, pinks and orange, green vines and various colored embroidered embellishments. It is lined with a thick insulating layer of cherry red felted wool. It is machine stitched together by maching but all of the applique and embroidery work was done by hand. It designed to fit an medium to large sized teapot. The cosy is approximately 11 inches and can be cuffed as shown for shorter teapots. It is approximately 12 inches wide or 24 inches around. A cute lifting loop is created with a bit of oversized bright pink rik-rak.
