The painting is inspired by a photograph I took while traveling in Peru during the summer of 2009.

This is a piraña we fished in the jungle reserve of pacaya samiria. It's a bit scary, but very tasty. We actually got our training by a 7 year old boy named Elias (and his father - our guide)
