This hat is the ultimate in fantasticness!
An elegant bejeweled and beglamoured real taxidermy bird is perched elegantly atop a handmade satin hat.
It is carefully sculpted and then iridescent black feathers are added to give him depth and detail. Then a carefully sewn black veil is added - perfect for the merry widow!
I also use real swarovski crystals on the bird so there is extra sparkly magic.
This hat is based on the designs from the 1930's and 40's after watching wayyyy too many Fellini and Pressberger and Powell movies :)
Caution! This hat is not for the timid or shy.
I use a strong and sturdy metal alligator clip and there is a looping trip for adding your own bobby pins for an extra secure hold. You can also have it on a headband or a comb- or both. Just put a note in with your order.
