This slip has a slim sexy shape, thin adjustable straps, wide double layered panels of sheer organza and scalloped floral lace at the bust, a thin strip of slightly stretchy sheer scalloped lace across the top of the back, and medium sized band of sheer scalloped floral lace around the circumference of the hem.
Part of the fun of dyeing anything is the surprise of how things turn out. (Like snowflakes - or people - no two are ever exactly alike.) This came out of the bath a warm Barbie-esque shade of pink.
It's not a true solid, meaning it has a number of darker and lighter spots sprinkled about, which is just the nature of the process.

Made by Wonder Maid
100% nylon (exclusive of trim)
Machine wash cold w/ mild detergent, delicate cycle; tumble dry low.
bust: 35"
length: 41" (with straps fully extended)
[Measurements are taken flat, then doubled - except for the length; for best fit, compare the measurements to a similar piece in your closet.]
This is marked a size 38. In terms of this type of lingerie I usually base fit on a woman's bra size. I wear a size 36 bra and this fits me; I'd say it's best for a 34 - 36" bust. Slips like these are somewhat forgiving though and can still look fabulous worn a little loose or a little tight - it really depends on how you plan to style and wear it.

There are a few little pulls sprinkled about the fabric. Also, there appears to have been a little reinforcement / repair to the underarm seams as well as the lace on the bust - at the top and bottom centerpoints of the v but none of this is particularly noticeable when worn. (The repairs are only noticeable at all because the thread used did not take on any dye.)
Otherwise in great vintage condition. This will arrive washed and ready to wear.
(PS: In case you're wondering about any "side effects" from wearing a hand-dyed slip around the house, or anywhere else - the pieces go through two fairly rigorous washings during the process which helps set the dye. To date I have never had any problems with bleeding or color transfer and I have two chairs covered in white fabric in my living room.)
