I have hand made this mala necklace from a collection of antique finished silver-plated pewter beads, Indian Rosewood and multi-colored painted wooden beads.
It consists of 108 beads that are strung on four colored strands of hemp cord.
Frayed hemp tassles hang from a knot which secures the necklace.

I have designed and made the pewter beads for this necklace.
The pieces are originally made by molding, forming or carving wax.
These components are then cast in bronze as a prototype, then finally cast in pewter and silver plated with an antique finish.
The pieces are fashioned to resemble time-worn remnants with an aged and ancient look.

Mala is a set of beads commonly used by Hindus and Buddhists for keeping count while reciting, chanting or mentally repeating a mantra.

This necklace is packaged in a black organza bag together with my business card.

Length of necklace: Approx. 41"
