This little embroidered wall art is made from a mix of vintage and new materials.
It depicts two chickens and a farmhouse chair which I machine embroidered and appliqued onto turquoise stripy Irish linen, with the word 'plotting' to one side.
The embroidery is done using a basic sewing machine fitted with a freehand embroidery foot. I sketch my drawings, cut the fabric to be appliqued and 'redraw' my sketch freehand straight onto the fabric using black thread.
The last photo is to help you get an idea of the size of this hoop. This listing is for the hoop shown in photos 1, 2 & 3 only, others hoops and bobbins are not included sorry.
This piece is mounted on a 8"(21cm) embroidery hoop (made in Britain).
Made to order.
Ready to hang.
Each hoop is unique due to the nature of freehand machine embroidery, which I think adds to the charm. There will be slight variations from the photos shown.
