Swaddling is the ancient art of tightly wrapping your baby to provide the continuous touching and support that the fetus experienced while in the womb.There are many benefits to swaddling including inhibiting the startle reflex that often awakens babies for their first few months,enabling them to sleep for longer stretches(and you too!).
I did not discover the benefits of swaddling til I had my fourth baby and boy was I amazed!The first time I swaddled my little guy he slept for so long that I was afraid something was wrong and woke him up!He would become so content after he was swaddled he would just drift into a peaceful sleep.It was amazing and made me wish I had known about it with my first three.
I make the swaddling blankets more than twice as large as the typical receiving blanket(42" by 42"),with a soft sustainable fiber knit fabric that stretches to snugly hug your baby.
Each swaddling blanket comes with detailed instructions for proper swaddling techniques and is wrapped in 100% recycled tissue paper and tied with natural raffia.
