This is such a stunning 1920s dress, made of a sheer crinkle silk chiffon with a vibrant and slightly exotic pattern consisting of white, green, taupe, and orange flowers and orange citrus fruits (oranges? clementines?) on a dark navy background (like a fragrant orangerie at midnight). Flattering boat neck, long sleeves, sashed lower waist that meets in a lovely swag at side, asymmetrical lower drop waist/hip level seam and tiered ruffle. Bodice is deliberately asymmetrical as well; there is a bolero-like front right detail that flutters and floats as one walks or dances. All in all, this is an ethereal and effervescent dress, possibly originally made as a ladylike afternoon frock, but I personally would wear it "night & day"!! Just gorgeous!!
