1930s - Vintage Maryland - A sweet, somewhat modified (all rights reserved) print of a fun and funky little vintage map with smooth aqua and cream from a 1930s schoolbook. Definitely frameworthy. Beautifully reproduced on thick, luxurious creamy ivory paper.

About 8" x 10" The image fits into a standard frame with an 8 x 10 matte (as shown in the third photo with my Michigan map in a standard frame from Jo-Ann Fabrics...)

Arrives in a crystal clear resealable cellophane envelope with a sturdy matte board to keep your map safe and sound until it reaches you.

"It must have been April that sunny day many, many years ago. i certainly wish that I had a camcorder instead of my trusty Nikon zoom lens. I was walking down a path in the country, the freeway was not far away and yet it was so very quiet. The earth dotted with blossomed apple trees seemed panoramic under the bluest of skies. Huge white clouds were fluffled around like giant pillows, just a few to make the vast landscape perfect In the distance were gatherings of tall trees, old and elegant swaying ever so gently in the spring breeze. It's a practically perfect afternoon, I thought. so simple. So lacking in demands. It didn't feel lonely, just exceptionally peaceful.

Then I noticed them, under one of the trees just losing its blossoms. There were only a few scattered trees left in this old orchard. I should have turned and walked away, but it seemed like a natural scene out here. They were lying on a small green blanket as though the scene had been composed with them in mind. Surely I was looking at a film in the country at Arles.

I was spellbound because she moved over him in such a sweet passionate manner, occasionally throwing her head back to the sky with her short reddish hair blowing in the breeze. She bent down and nuzzled her head around his face. I felt I should really leave but the day must have meant to include this pastoral picture. Her skirt billowed up over her hips and she seemed totally abandoned to the natural movement of the breeze and sunbeams surrounding her. I heard her give a big sigh and say to him, 'This has been the most perfect afternoon ever.....All love should be in the glorious outdoors. I will remember this day forever.......I moved back and away knowing I would remember also........'"
