MANUFACTURER: Stamped "Homer Laughlin - Best China - U.S.A." (as seen in photo)
CIRCA: Mid 1950s - Mid 1960s
DETAIL: 8 identical ceramic coffee cups. Tall, narrow and footed with sculpted handles. Mod detail on two sides in yellow ochre on a ivory backdrop. Butterscotch base. High gloss finish. Having a handle large enough for 3-4 fingers and being comfortably weighty sets it apart from other, typically dainty, demitasse.
MEASUREMENTS: 2 3/4" diameter. 4 1/4" from rim to handle. 5" tall.
OVERALL CONDITION: Outside of the *extremely* minor flaws caused by the manufacturer (a structurally sound hairline at the base of one cup and a bubble/ripple here and there) this set is in VERY GOOD condition. No coffee/tea staining to the insides. No odors or crazing. Nearly indiscernible use wear.
