These frames have patented spring-grip hinges. This patent was applied for in 1959 and was granted in 1960, according to http://www.klasik.org/. You can see the patent illustrations at http://www.klasik.org/links3/flairpatent.html.
Vintage glasses by the Swiss brand Flair appear to be quite rare; I could only find one other pair for sale online, and they were men’s frames.
Front width: 130 mm
Lens width: 44 mm (marked on frame)
Lens height: 34 mm
Bridge: 20 mm (marked on frame)
Length of Arms (Temples): 140mm (5 3/4 marked on frame)
These frames are in amazing condition considering their age, with only a few tiny scratches. The screw at the right temple where it meets the hinge is missing a tiny bolt, but I checked with my optician who said it should be fine as is.
Please check measurements carefully prior to purchasing, and please read my policies at http://www.etsy.com/shop/AlpenglowVintage/policy. I understand it is difficult to purchase eyeglasses online without trying them on, but please understand I cannot provide a refund for poor fit or if do not like they way they look on you. Please contact me with any questions!
Please note that orders shipped to addresses in Colorado will require sales tax payment.
I've done my best to set up sales tax correctly, but as sales tax rates change I may have to contact you with an updated sales tax rate if you reside in Colorado.
