I’ve made Mrs Fitzpatrick out of merino wool using a technique called needle felting, where I poke raw wool with a needle thousands of times until it become solid. It’s a very time-intensive and magical process. You can see a pic of the technique here: http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_570xN.244171005.jpg
I don’t use a mold or pattern when I needle felt, just an idea, and sometimes a picture to help me with the shape.
About Mrs Fitzpatrick:
♥Mrs. Fitzpatrick is needle felted (shaping fluffy wool into a solid form by using little barbed needles)
♥I have knitted her quills out of yarn so you don't have to worry about being poked when she's angry.
♥Mrs. Fitzpatrick is about 4.5 inches (13 cm) long.
♥She has a necklace on (made by me) and a little glued on hat on with a purple ribbon.
By no means should you put Mrs Fitzpatrick on a mantle piece. She does not like mantle pieces.
Comes with a tag describing that she's handmade out of wool.
