Labradorite has always reminded me of elements of water: the iridescence of fish scales, moonlight reflecting on it's surface. First found on the Labrador Peninsula of Canada, Labradorite is a type of feldspar and exhibits the schiller effect: the shimmering of color caused by the scattering of light in it's internal structure.
This particular labradorite cabochon has beautiful flashes of blues, greens, and gold and I wanted to show off the stone by creating a simple, yet substantial silver ring around it. This ring is comprised of sterling and fine silver, has a nice weight to it, and because of the smooth band, will wear comfortably on your finger. I also gave the silver a dark finish to really bring out the color of the stone. Ready to ship!
