In 2006 I sculpted my first sutured heart necklace as a class project in school and have been mending broken hearts ever since.
This new variation is made with my hands and cast in silver alloy
(a special blend of zinc, copper and a small amount of nickel)
Heart measures 1 1/4 in long x 1 in wide and 3/8 at highest point.
The back of the heart resembles a ribcage. With a wee little creature to keep you company, his name is Mortimer and has two simulated rubies for eyes.
Strung on 2.1 millimeter sterling silver rollo chain.

The Sutured Heart, my signature piece that started Idle Hands Designs, is about re-writing the past—mending a broken heart, taking the pain of the past and turning it into something new and beautiful.

LOVE this!!!! Very original and the seller is one of the best on Etsy!
This is a perfect piece to show that your heart may have been broken but, you have gone on to love again. This piece hangs beautifully & there truely isn't anything I have seen out there that is as good. This heart was made with love & great detail which makes the wearer feel special.
