Ah, a twist of steel wire, still visible deep within. Safety glass. Dip the glass in water or rub with oil and the wire really shows. You can even see a tiny dot of metal wire showing on the edge of the glass if you look closely. Neat.
So I drilled it carefully and fitted it with a heavy sterling silver jump ring. Hung on a simple 18" sterling ball chain.
Lightweight, comfortable...a great conversation piece. One of a kind.
If you prefer the darker oxidized look that I do on most of my jewelry creations, let me know. I decided to leave this one shiny for you folks who prefer the look.
